Matt Kemp's league-leading 22nd home run keyed a 10-3 win over Tampa and Sergio Pedroza's two-run homer tied the game in the ninth but Greenville won 7-6 in 10 innings. Brent Leach won his third game for Ogden in a rain-shortened game and the Coasties lost 3-1 in another game clipped off by the rain.

LAS VEGAS, Nevada-- The Oklahoma RedHawks defeated Las Vegas 4-3 in the finale of the four-game series. The 51s were 3-5 on the eight-game home stand. The 51s led 3-1 into the sixth and 3-2 into the seventh before three runs in the eighth turned the game. Las Vegas recorded 11 hits and stranded 11 runners. Second baseman Delwyn Young was 4-for-4 with a double and 2 RBI. Left fielder Henri Stanley was 2-for-4 and designated hitter Jason Grabowski was 1-for-4 with a RBI double in the fifth inning. Right-hander Harold Eckert (5-5) recorded a strong outing despite the loss. He pitched 6 innings, allowed 7 hits, 4 runs, walked 3 and struck out 7. He retired 11 straight batters from the first through the fourth innings. Las Vegas is off today.

SEVIERVILLE, Tennessee-- Suns starter Joel Hanrahan gave up two three-run home runs and a season-high eight runs in a 10-5 loss to Tennessee. The Smokies scored four in the first and rolled to an 8-1 lead, dealing Hanrahan (6-7) the loss. Sergio Garcia had a pinch-hit, two-run single in the seventh inning, bringing the Suns to within 9-3. James Loney went 3-for-4 and reached base four times. Right-hander Edwin Jackson (3-4, 4.73 ERA) is scheduled to oppose Tennessee tonight. Sun Spots: Hanrahan allowed one home run in his previous five appearances prior to Tuesday. He has given up 20 home runs in 21 games. …3B Andy LaRoche has six hits in his last 51 at bats. …Ruggiano and Jon Weber (13) registered outfield assists.

VERO BEACH, Florida-- Matt Kemp hit his league-leading 22nd home run of the season as Vero Beach beat the Yankees 10-3 in Tampa. The Dodgers broke open a close game with five runs in the top of the ninth inning. Travis Denker had three hits and 2 RBI and Julio Pimentel (8-6) turned in five solid innings to improve his record to 8-6. Greg Miller (3) and Jose "Jumbo" Diaz (2) struck out five over three scoreless relief innings. Kemp, Cory Dunlap, Tony Raglani each added two hits including a double to the Dodgers 12-hit total and Chin-lung Hu singled, stole three bases (16) and scored twice. The series continues tonight with Major Leaguer Carl Pavano expected to make an injury rehab start for the Yankees.

GREENVILLE, SC-- Greenville broke a 6-6 tie in the bottom of the tenth inning with a HR and the Catfish fell to the Bombers 7-6 in 10 innings. Catfish RF Sergio Pedroza had hit a two-run HR in the bottom of the ninth inning with two outs to tie the game. Pedroza finished the game 2-for-5 with a double, HR, and three RBI, while C Chris Westervelt, CF Ryan Russ, and 2B Brandon Carter each had multi-hit games. The Catfish took a 1-0 lead on Carter's two out single in the fifth. While RHP Jarod Plummer allowed only two Greenville base runners in the first four innings, he was tagged for five runs in bottom the fifth. The Fish chipped away with runs in the sixth, seventh, and eighth. Trailing 6-4 in the ninth inning, a one-out double by 3B Blake DeWitt brought the tying run to the plate and Pedroza hit his fifth HR of the season in 18 games, tying the game at six. RHP Chris Malone (8-5, 3.89 ERA) faces Savannah tonight in Columbus.

OGDEN, Utah-- Ogden Raptors defeated the Idaho Falls Chukars in a rain shortened game by a score of 6-1. The game was stopped in the bottom of the 6th inning due to rain and lightening. Brent Leach (3-3) pitched a strong six innings, allowing three hits and one run. He allowed two walks while striking out seven. Jesus Soto singled, stole second and scored when Russ Mitchell singled in the first. Mitchell hit a sac fly in the 5th driving in Soto. In the bottom of the sixth, Andrew Locke and DJ Jackson singled. Kengshill Pujols and Juan Rivera both added RBI singles and Adam Godwin added a bases clearing double to put the Raptors 6-1. As Jesus Soto came to the plate sheets of rain started to fall and the game was halted for about 20 minutes before it was called officially.

VERO BEACH, Florida-- Jesus Mora homered in the first inning but the Nationals put a three on the board in the top of the fifth. Rain shortened the game to 5 1/2 innings so the Dodgers had little chance to rally. Charles Dasni (0-3) pitched into the sixth inning and took the loss. Held to three hits, Scott VanSlyke singled and Adolfo Gonzalez tripled for the Dodgers.
