Will the town of San Pedro de Macoris ever stop turning out quality ball players? Apparently not for here's another one.

After being plagued by control problems in the Dominican Summer League for two years with a cumulative 4-5, 4.70 record the result, Sanfler came over to the U. S. to find his control and establish himself as a left-hander out of the bullpen in the process.

He's not large but his fast ball gets up to 96 mph and he had a 2-1 strikeout to walk ratio this past summer. He challenges hitters with his heat and a good breaking ball as well.

He just kept getting better and better as the season wore on to wind up 5-3, 3.79 with 41 strikeouts in 40 innings. He has the perfect demeanor for his job, challenging hitters with his heat and a developing breaking ball.

He's tough on lefties and may specialize in that eventually.

He'll probably pitch at Ogden in 2006 although Columbus is a possibility.
