Dodger Blue Notes-- The Dodgers feel that a game in Las Vegas at the end of the spring training season may become a permanent thing. The 51s are the Dodgers' top minor-league affiliate and it would be an easy thing to play once on the way home from camp. The fact that they drew over 10,000 fans dosen't hurt. …Shortstop Rafael Furcal, who has a lower back strain, felt much better, and it appears he will be able to play in the opener. …Catcher Dioner Navarro didn't see action in the game but Manager Grady Little said he will catch two of the three games in the Freeway Series with the Angels. …Left fielder Jose Cruz, who suffered a slight concussion diving for a ball on Tuesday against Detroit, is expected back quickly. …Dodger starters in the Anaheim series include Derek Lowe, Brad Penny and Odalis Perez, respectively. …Pitcher Aaron Sele, who was optioned to Las Vegas, has not a decision about accepting the assignment. …The Dodgers will lease a portion of their academy in the Dominican Republic, Campo Las Palmas, to the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. As part of the agreement, the Devil Rays will share the complex, which is widely regarded as one of the finest baseball facilities in the country. The Dodgers' use of the academy, which opened on March 21, 1987, will be unchanged.
