Las Vegas could manage only seven hits and 13 of 14 batters went down in order.

Billingsley (4-1) suffered his first loss after winning four of his first eight starts. He was charged with four runs, five hits and had five strikeouts in six innings.

Early Lead Lost-- An early 3-0 lead vanished as a the Mississippi Braves tied the game in the fifth and won it in the eighth. One night after scoring all of their runs off of homeruns, the Braves scored their four runs Saturday night on 14 singles.

The Suns opened the scoring in the third inning as Andy LaRoche belted a two-run double into the left field corner. Later in the inning, Justin Ruggiano hit a shot that nearly went out of the park but the Mississippi left fielder knocked back onto the field of play. Ruggiano got a triple and LaRoche scored for a 3-0 lead.

Three runs in the fifth off Suns starter Joel Hanrahan tied the game.

Alvis Ojeda (2-1) allowed the Braves a run in the eighth and took the loss.

LaRoche and Chin-lung Hu each had a pair of hits.

Gunning For a Record-- After huge back-to-back crowds at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville, the Suns are poised to break the club's four-game attendance record this weekend.

The Suns set and broke the four-game record of 35,881 three times in 2004, in the midst of a Jacksonville all-time best attendance of 420,495. So far in this series, the Suns have drawn 9,122 10,640 and 9,489 for a 29,251 total and need 6,138 for a new mark.

''We are very fortunate to have such great weather this weekend and with some great promotions planned and through the hard work of our group sales staff, we are nearly sold out for the Sunday game before the gates even open,'' said Suns General Manager Kirk Goodman.

Ninth Inning Run Wins-- Pinch-hitter Chris Westervelt drove in Travis Denker on a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 9th to lift the Dodgers to a come-from-behind 4-3 victory over the Clearwater. Xavier Paul added his second home run in as many nights and Jamie Hoffman chipped in with three hits.

The Threshers jumped out to a 3-0 advantage early in the game but Paul slugged a 2-run homer to center in the 6th inning to pull the Dodgers within a run. Hoffman then singled and stole second. He scored on a Cole Bruce double to tie it at three.

In the 9th, Denker reached on a fielder's choice after Adolfo Gonzalez led off with a walk. David Nicholson singled to right, advancing Denker to third. Westervelt followed with a fly ball to right that was just deep enough to score Denker for the win.

Brian Akin (2-3) earned the win with two perfect relief innings. Chris Malone started for the Dodgers and overcame early trouble and worked six innings with seven strikeouts. Pitching in tough luck, he has allowed three runs or fewer in seven of his eight starts, but has just one win to show for it.

The Threshers tapped him for a run in the first and two in th third. Malone would allow just two more hits over the next 3.2 innings. Albenis Castillo and Akin did not allow a baserunner over the final three frames.

Catfish Blast Savannah-- The Catfish (20-22) collected 16 hits and used a pair of five-run innings en route to a 14-6 win at Savannah. Andrew Locke, Sergio Pedroza and Russell Mitchell each knocked in three runs to make things easier for Brent Leach (3-2) and three relievers.

Locke got things off on the right foot in the first inning, slugging a bases loaded triple. Lucas May doubled him in, then scored on Juan Apodaca's single for a quick 5-0 lead.

After Savannah scored single runs in the first and third, the Catfish struck again in the fifth when Apodaca walked and Brandon Carter was hit by a pitch. Ivan DeJesus singled to load the bases and Pedroza followed with a two RBI single. Mitchell then launched a home run (#6) over the center field fence and the Fish took a 10-0 lead.

Columbus added four in the eighth and one in the ninth. Savanna scored four times in the bottom of the ninth before Miguel Sanfler righted the ship to end the inning.

De Jesus and Locke had three hits each. May and Apodaca added two. Leach allowed five hits and a pair of runs while pitching into the sixth. Matt Segura worked 1.2 scoreless and Francisco Felix added a shutout eighth. Sanfler allowed four in the ninth but only one of them was earned.
