Late Rally Wins-- Four of late inning runs broke a 1-1 tie and gave the Suns a 5-2 win over Huntsville. Starter Joel Hanrahan (4-2) had his best outing of 2006, allowing only two hits through his seven innings. The 2003 Southern League Pitcher of the Year walked two while striking out six.

Jacksonville scored in the first when a Matt Kemp single drove in Wilkin Ruan.. Huntsville answered in the home half of the inning as Travis Ezi walked and later scored on a wild pitch.

Jacksonville could manage only three hits after the first inning through his seven innings until the eighth when Jacksonville broke through when Justin Ruggiano beat out an infield single with two out allowing A.J. Zapp to score from second base. Tony Abreu later scored on a wild throw and the Suns opened up a 3-1 advantage.

Carlos Alvarez took over for Hanrahan in the last of the eighth and allowed a leadoff single, got an out, then three singles drove Huntsville's final run. Closer Mark Alexander came into the game and induced a hard grounder to third and the Suns infield turned an inning-ending double play. Alexander saved his ninth game of the season with a one-hit bottom of the ninth inning.

Jacksonville added two insurance runs in the ninth inning on an RBI infield single from Andy LaRoche and a sacrifice fly from A.J. Zapp.

The Suns win kept Jacksonville a half-game back of first place Montgomery. The Suns and Biscuits meet in a five-game series beginning Sunday in Montgomery.

Game four of the series is tonight in Huntsville.
