Justin Ruggiano, of, Jacksonville. Ruggiano hadn't been hitting the ball with regularity for much of the season but that has been changing lately. For the week of June 4-10, he hit .409 with nine hits in 22 at-bats. Among his barrage were three doubles and a home run. Currently, Ruggiano is batting .273 with eight homers and 36 RBI.
Cory Wade, rhp, Columbus. Wade had been in the bullpen for much of his two previous seasons and, again, at the beginning of play in 2006. Thrust into the rotation, he's pitched very capably but was never better than June 7 when he went the distance against Savannah, allowing only one hit, walking no one and striking out 11. So far, in 2006, he is 4-2 with a 3.60 ERA and 69 strikeouts in 65 innings.
