Dasni Suspended for Substance Violation

The Dodgers have lost another young Dominican pitcher for violating baseball's substance abuse program as Chales Dasni has received a 50-game suspension.

Dasni, a 21-year-old righthander, had a 4-3, 5.63 record with Ogden. He began the year in the Raptor starting rotation but was later bumped to the bullpen. Last year he was 1-5, 7.35 in the Gulf Coast League.

Earlier, another Dominican righthander, Kengshil Pujols, who was with the Gulf Coast Dodgers, also received a 50-game suspension. In the case of both pitchers, the suspensions will extend into next season.
