Fall Ball Report

The team the Dodgers have contributed six players to, the North Shore Honu, is off to a fast start, leading the Hawaii Winter League with a 5-1 record. And outfielder Xavier Paul is a major reason.

Paul is torching the league as his .381 batting average is the second-best and his two home runs has him tied for the top in that department. His eight hits, on-base percentage (.458) and slugging mark (.571) also rank up there.

Blake DeWitt, who's playing second on a regular basis, got off to a slow start but is hitting better now with a current .238 averrage. Playing part-time, first baseman Cory Dunlap is hitting .286 while Kenley Jansen, is hitting only .111 as a backup catcher.

As for the pitchers, righthander Zach Hammes has been made the team's closer and has already appeared in three games with a 1-1 record, a 3.00 ERA and one save. Lefthander Wesley Wright has won his only decision with a 1.50 ERA.
