In the coming days we are going to be soliciting your answers on some of the questions facing the Dodgers in the off-season. Let us know and include a short paragraph supporting your decision. We will use selected answers when we report the results. The re-signing of Greg Maddux was approved by a 4-1 margin last week.
Question #2 is should we re-sign pitcher Nomar Garciaparra?
Nomar led the National League in hitting at the All-Star break, then ran into a number of nagging injuries that cut his effectiveness. However, he hit some important clutch home runs down the stretch.
At age 33, he will probably be asking for a two or three year contract at $10 million a year or better.
With the emergence of James Loney, who tied the Dodger franchise record with nine runs batting in against Colorado in the final week of sthe season, would you give him a shot at the job in the spring instead of asking Garciaparra back?
Please email email@example.com and tell me about it. We will take replies through Thursday.
