After spending two seasons in the Sargasso Sea as a result of indifferent performances, Paul got his career moving again in 2006. Perhaps a lot of that could be an indirect result of Hurricane Katrina. It had wiped out his home in Louisiana so his family spent the winter in Tallahassee.

Deprived of hanging out with his buddies as before, he worked out a lot more and reported in the best shape of his life. He seemed rejuvenated as a result.

Although he wound up at only .247 with seven homers for Vero, he was much sounder at the plate, lashing line drives . He's even too aggressive at times but has quick wrists and strong hands. He showed promising power.

He's still a bit tentative in the field but his arm compares with the best that have played right field in Vero and that includes Matt Kemp and Reggie Abercrombie.

He should be in Jacksonville in 2007 where , if he shows the approach he began to use this past summer, he could be a force.
