Dodger Prospect #20 Eric Stults is currently taking a look at the top prospects in the Dodger organization. Here's another as we count down to the very best.

After returning satisfactorily from Tommy John surgery in 2005, Stults pulled his game up even further in 2006. He throws a fast ball that barely makes it up to 90 but he has a tight spinning curve and a dependable change that has good movement.

Mostly, he 's a strong worker who has an excellent approach, works batters well as he pitches to spots. He showed that by winning 10 games for Las Vegas and when promoted to the Dodgers, demonstrated that he can pitch winning ball in the big leagues as well.

He's athletic, having attended Bethel College in Indiana on a basketball scholarship. He's been producing more than anticipated ever since turning pro and it would be a surprise if he doesn't keep right on doing that this year.

His chances of making the big league staff out of spring training aren't robust so he'll have to return to Vegas and stay sharp. A need for his services in L.A. might well arise.
