Heavy Rain Washes out LA-Colorado Game

The game between the Doddgers and Rockies were rained out Friday night after a two-hour wait. About two hours before the game was scheduled to start, downtown Denver and Coors Field were soaked in more than an inch of water, causing a small lake to form in left field and the dugouts to flood.

The game officially went into a delay at 6:10, approximately one hour after the torrential rain began, and officials called it off at eight p.m. Rockie Mountain time.

The game will be made up on the Dodgers final trip to Colorado on September 25-26-27. Both the teams have a day off on the 24th and it is possible they will play on that day -- although no official announcement has been made as to that possibility.
