Young Named PCL All-Star

Las Vegas will finish the season down in the depths once again. That's hardly been the fault of Delwyn Young, who's been having a standout season. That's been officially recognized as he's been named to an outfield slot on the Pacific Coast League All-Star team.

Young is currently hitting .337 with 17 home runs and 87 runs batted in. What's more, he's ripped 50 doubles, which not only leads the league but also sets a franchise record.

Making All-Star teams is hardly anything new for the 25-year-old. He's been chosen on a similar post-season squads in the Pioneer League, South Atlantic League, Florida State League and Southern League on his way up to AAA.

Young is the only member of the 51's named to the team. The California League also announced its all-stars but no member of Inland Empire was so honored.
