Dodgers To Play For West Oahu

Dodger players who will be participating in the Hawaii Winter League have been assigned to the West Oahu Canefires.

Eight Dodgers plus pitching coach Craig Bjornson will be with the Canefires in the second year of the league's revival which starts play on Sept. 28.

The Dodgers include third baseman Josh Bell, infielder Russell Mitchell, outfielders Jamie Hoffmann and Ryan Rogowski, catcher Kenley Jansen and three pitchers- lefthander Garrett White and righthanders Steve Johnson and Kyle Wilson.

Bjornson has served as the pitching coach for Ogden for the past two seasons. The manager will be Scott Coolbaugh, whose brother Mike was tragically killed when struck by a foul ball while coaching first for the Tulsa Drillers recently.
