Winter Ball Report - November 27

Each week provides an update on how Dodger players are faring in the various winter leagues that are currently in operation. Those leagues include the Mexican Pacific, Dominican and Venezuelan.

MEXICAN PACIFIC-- Jesus Rodriguez continues to be one of thew top pitchers in the league. He now has a 4-0 record with a 2.63 ERA. Mauricio Tequida is a leading reliever with eight saves and a 1-1, 1.91 ERA.

Francisco Felix has an excellent ERA (0.89) but is only 1-2 despite that. Jesus Castillo is 1-1, 1.59 and Thomas Melgarejo is 1-1, 4.91.

Among the hitters, Sergio Garcia continues to slump and has dropped to .194 with one home run. Gabriel Gutierrez is hitting .250.

DOMINICAN-- First baseman John Lindsey, who began the off-season playing in the Mexican Pacific League has switched to the Dominican. However, after his first seven at-bats for Estrellas, he's still looking for his first hit.

Pitchers Marlon Arias and Ramon Troncosso have each only managed to get in two games. Arias has no decisions while Troncoso has lost one.

VENEZUELAN-- Jonathan Figerioa continues to be hit hard. He's now 1-5 with a 5.25 ERA. Alberto Bastardo is 0-2, 4.58. Joey Norrito is doing better with a 2-2, 4.02 record. Miguel Pinango is 0-1, 3.86.

Both Juan Gonzalez (.214) and Eduardo Perez (.167) continue to be idled by lack of hitting but Juan Apodaca is doing well when he gets in there with a .375 mark.
