DSL Dodgers Get Great Pitching in Double Win

Ogden was battered 14-7 by Orem. The Dominican Dodgers tripped the Red Sox twice, winning 3-1 and 2-1. The Gulf Coast League Dodgers were rained out. We have also included the Monday scores.

League Leaders Paste Raptors
Orem smacked six home runs on the road to a 14-7 victory over Ogden. Thed banged out 18 runs and sent 10 batters to the plate and scores even runs in the fourth inning.

The game wasn't nearly as close as the final score. The Raptors ran across four runs in the ninth to make it look respectable.

Travis Vetters had a pair of doubles and a single, knocking in a pair and Jessie Mier had a two-run home run.

Ogden Rolls to Win
Monday, Ogden smothered Orem 15 to 5 over. Second baseman Tony Delmonico had three hits, including a double and home run, and knocked in four runs for the Raptors. Nick Buss also hit a homer. Jonathan Dutton (4-2) earned the win.

GCL Dodgers postponded by rain.

GCL Dodgers Nip Cardinals 4-3
Monday the Coasties scored single runs in four different innings to top the Cardinals 4-3. Ramon Jean doubled and homered (#3) and Matthew Magill won his first game in relief.

DSL Dodgers Sweep Two
The Dominican Summer League Dodgers won a pair of games from the Red Sox behind strong pitching. The collected a 3-1 win in the first game and a 2-1 decision in the second.

First game
Rubby De La Rosa, who has pitched about as well as anyone in the Dodgers' system but still came into the game 0-4, allowed one hit and a single run while striking oout seven to nail down his first win and reduce his ERA to 1.74.

An RBI single by Enily Morales and a run-scoring double by Pedro Tavares gave the Dodgers a 2-0 first inning led.

They added another run in the second on Jerry Castillo's doule and Wilner Charles' single to give De La Rosa all the runs he would need.

Jhan Lima savied his first game with a scorless seventh inning.

The Dodgers six hits were divided amont six different batters.

In the second game, with the Dodgers at home team in this one, Marlon Urriola gave up a third inning run in his four innngs but left with the score tied 1-1.

Charlie Mirabal (3-1) collected the win with two scoreless innings and Rogalito Chery clinched the game with a scoreless ninth to earn his first save.

Pedro Tavarez singled home Alexis Crispin in the third inning and after the Red Sox tied the game in the fourth, Erick Lantigua's second home run of the season provided the winning run.

Christan Gonzlez had a pair of hits for the Dodgers.

Yankees top Dodgers 7-5
On Monday the DSL Yankees1 beat the DSL Dodgers 7 to 5 desppite a three-run Dodgers ninth. Dodgers had 7 hits but all their runs came as a result of Yankee errors. Starter Jonady Nunez (0-4) took the loss.
