DeWitt, the Dodgers' Opening Day third baseman, has batted .257 with five homers and 35 RBI in 88 games with Los Angeles. The 22-year-old was optioned to Las Vegas on July 26, when the Dodgers acquired infielder Casey Blake from the Cleveland Indians.
DeWitt batted .303 (33-for-109) with four homers and 18 RBI in 26 games after being optioned to Las Vegas and playing second base primarily.
The left-handed hitter went 11-for-19 (.579) with three doubles, a homer, eight RBI, and seven runs scored in his last four games with the 51s.
DeWitt won National League Rookie of the Month honors for May, when he hit .322 (28-for-87) with five homers and 18 RBI in 26 games.
Ozuna batted .167 with one RBI in 28 games (two starts) after being signed as a free agent on July 20.
Rafael Furcal missed his 100th game since going on the 15-day disabled list on May 6 with an injured lower back. The Dodgers were a season-best five games over .500 at 19-14 that day after a 5-4 win vs. the New York Mets. Los Angeles has gone 46-53 since.
Furcal, who had surgery on his back on July 3, is currently working out in Arizona, and will join the team for workouts at Chase Field this weekend.
Fall League Roster
The Arizona Fall League announced its rosters for the 2008 season, and nine Dodgers will play for the Surprise Raptors.
Jacksonville will be well represented with Infielder Ivan DeJesus, catcher Lucas May, outfielder Andrew Lambo, right-hander Travis Schlichting and left-handers Scott Elbert and Brent Leach.
Justin Orenduff of Las Vegas will also be on the roster.
In addition, infielder Russ Mitchell and outfielder Jamie Hoffman from Jacksonville will play on the Raptors' Taxi Squad, which means they will play only on Wednesdays and Sundays. The AFL's 17th season begins on October 7.
