Who 'Ya Gonna Call?
Ogden swept Casper 5-3 on the strength of a two-run home run by Mario Songco (#5) trailing by a run in the bottom of the eighth and, at least for the time-being, became legitimate Ghost busters.

Ogden improved to 7-6 on the season and won its third straight contest. They are tied for second in the Pioneer League's South Division behind Idaho Falls (8-3). Ogden will not meet Idaho Falls until July 25.

Songco, the Dodgers' fifth pick out of Loyola Marymount, drove the first pitch he saw in the eighth inning well over the center-field fence to drive in Jerry Sands and give the Raptors a 4-3 lead.

It was Songco's third homer of the week and his fifth of the season.

Pedro Guerrero added an RBI single later in the inning and finished the game with three hits.

Ogden starter Matt Magill worked five innings, allowing three runs in the first inning. The late rally gave righty J.B. Paxson (#14), who worked three scoreless innings, his first professional win.

Daigoro Rondon exorcised three Ghosts in the ninth to save the contest.

In the fifth inning, trailing 3-0, catcher Jeremy Wise, the Big 12 Player of the Year and the National Catcher of the Year as well as the Dodgers sixth selection in the 2009 draft, playing his first game of the Raptors, started his professional career with a solid single. The next battle, Kyle Orr drilled a home run over the center-field wall to make the game close.

Ogden added an insurance run later in the inning, and after Daigoro Rondon loaded the bases with two outs in the bottom of the ninth, he struck out Casper center-fielder Eliezer Mesa to preserve the 5-3 win.

Wise and Orr finished with a pair of hits each.

The Raptors will enjoy an off-day today before beginning a seven-game home-stand Tuesday night against the Great Falls Voyagers.
