Yankees Edge Dodgers 9-7
In a game about as far away from Yankee Stadium as it is Dodger Stadium, the Yankees beat the Dominican Dodgers 9-7, coming back from a 7-2 deficit.

The Dodgers were out-hit 10-5 but took advantage of 12 Yankee walks and a pair of errors to score three in the firs, one in the second and fifth and two in the fourth.

Florencio Bustillos started and worked six innings, allowing seven hits, four runs and striking out six. He left with a 7-4 lead. Leonel Beras (0-3) took over in the fourth and managed to get only two outs in the seventh, allowing three walks and a pair of hits that resulted in five runs, four earned. Jonady Nuñez and Joel Lima closed off the Yankee attack but it was too late.

Three walks and Marion Sucre's single scored three in the first innings with the help of a Yankee error. Enily Moralez walked with the bases loaded in the second, forcing in a run but leaving the bases loaded.

The Yankees closed the gap to 4-2 in the third before Ronny Lugo singled and Morales walked, then scored on Franco's double in the fourth inning. Another run in the fifth came in on a passed ball and even after Bustillos allowed a pair of runs in the sixth inning, it looked like the Dodgers were on their way to a win.

Then New York scored seven times in the sixth and seventh. The names weren't Mantle and Maris and Berra, but Urena, Lapaix, and Rosario, and the damage was just as extensive. the Dodgers slid into fifth in the B.C. North Division with a 16-16 record.
