Raptors Lose Lead and Game
Great Falls scored twice in the eighth inning and once in the ninth to erase a 3-1 Ogden lead and collect a 4-3 win in the opener of a four game series.

The Raptors threatened in the bottom of the ninth when Mario Songco opened the inning with a double but he was left on second.

Starter Edwin Contreras worked 6.0 innings, allowing only one run. He left holding the 3-1 lead before Greg Wilborn gave up a two-run homer in the eighth to tie and Daigoro Rondon (0-1) surrendered the winning run in the ninth.

The Raptors scored in the first on singles by Brian Ruggiano and Jerry Sands plus Songco's sac fly that turned into a double play when Sands was out attempting to advance from first to second.

After Great Falls tied the game, Jeremy Wise singled, Chris Jacobs walked and Gorman Erickson singled, sending Wise to third but Jacobs was out at second in the bottom of the second. However, The Raptors could only score once, on a ground ball by Pedro Guerrero.

In the sixth Songco unloaded a mammoth home run, his league-leading sixth of the season, putting Ogden on top 3-1 until the last two innings.

The loss snapped the Raptors three-game winning streak, and they slipped back to .500 at 7-7. The teams continue their series Tuesday night.
