Jose Dominguez Boosts DSL Dodgers to 4-0 Win

The Raptors rallied in the ninth and had the tying run at second base but Great Falls held on for a 3-2 win. The Dodgers and Giants rookie teams, located a thousand miles apart, split with the Giants topping the Arizona Dodgers 6-3 and the Dominican Dodgers, behind Jose Dominguez, winning a 4-0 shutout.

Too Little, Too Late for Raptors
The Raptors attempt to come up with another game-winning rally in the ninth came up one run short and they dropped 3-2 contest to Great Falls.

Ogden starter Elisaul Pimentel gave up a run in the first and then issued a walk and a home run in the fifth to make it 3-0.

In the sixth, designated hitter Brian Ruggiano hit his second home run and Ogden's 31st to cut the lead to 3-1.

Javier Solano worked three scoreless innings to keep Ogden in the game.

The Raptors loaded the bases in the seventh but came up empty and in the ninth, Gorman Erickson opened with a walk before Hernandez collected his first professional extra-base hit, a double, and his first RBI but pinch hitter Kyle Orr flew out to center to end the game, tying the series at one game apiece.

AZ Giants Trip Dodgers 6-3
The Arizona Dodgers were held to five hits but made them count, overcoming a 3-1 Giant lead only to lose 6-3. Starter Dan Danielson allowed the Giants six hits and three runs over the first three innings but Beyker Fructuoso (0-3) was tagged with the loss.

Stetson Banks led off with a walk and stole second (#5). An infield error and Pedro Tavarez scored him with a ground ball. The slim lead didn't last long. The Giants scored twice in the first and once in the third.

The Dodgers got one run back in the fourth inning when Tavarez walked with one out and advanced on a wild pitch. Ramon Jean's double drove him in. And they tied the game with another single run in the seventh on singles by Ryan Arp and Banks.

The Giants tagged Furctuoso for three runs, two of them earned, over the final two innings to earn the win.

The Dodgers fielded a team that had six starters hitting below .200.

Pitchers Carry DSL Dodgers
Dominican starter Jose Dominguez (4-2) and three relievers shut out the Giants on three hits, winning 4-0. Ivan Eugenia, Joel Lima and Jean Eusebio combined to allow only two hits over the final four innings.

Wilner Charles doubled and scored on an error in the third inning and the Dodgers added three more in the sixth.

Faustino Oguisten opened with a single, moved to second on a ground ball and to third on a wild pitch. Marlon Sucre was hit by a pitch and quickly stole second.

A wild pitch scored the first run of the inning and after Bladimir Franco walked, a throwing error on Ronny Lugo's ground ball drove in another. A second wild pitch allowed the third and final run.

Four double plays helped the Dodgers keep the Giants off the bases.
