Wise Homer Wins for Ogden Catcher J.T. Wise, the Dodgers #6 choice in the 2009 draft out of Oklahoma, ripped a line-drive home run to over the left field fence in the top of the tenth inning to lift Ogden to a 5-4 win over Great Falls. The Raptors took two of three from the Voyagers and have won the season series four games to three.

Wise's blast, his second of the season, came after the Raptors had blown a one-run lead in the bottom of the ninth. It was Ogden's fourth blown save in the past eleven days, but this time Raptors were able to come back and win.

J.B. Paxson (#14 selection in 2009) allowed a game-tying double in the ninth, but Daigoro Rondon (1-2) struck out the next Voyagers batter to strand the potential winning run in scoring position. Rondon worked a 1-2-3 bottom of the tenth to complete the win.

Raptors starter Matt Magill allowed a single run in the second, and two more in the third on a home run. Magill then injured his ankle making a pick-off throw to first.

Left-hander Graham Miller (#33) worked 2.2 scoreless innings, and right-hander Luis Ferreras escaped a bases-loaded, no-outs mess in the bottom of the seventh, getting an unusual 4-2-3 double-play to work out of it.

Brian Ruggiano drilled a three-run homer in the second inning to give Ogden a 3-0 lead. It was Ruggiano's third home run of the season, and his second in as many nights, but the Raptors did not score again until the ninth.

Ogden finally broke the 3-3 tie in the ninth after Ruggiano's one-out double and an intentional walk to Jerry Sands. With two out, the Voyagers' shortstop fielded a slow ground ball from Raptors right-fielder Blake Smith.

Instead of throwing to first base for the final out, he tried to beat Jerry Sands to second base for a force play. Sands won the race and Ruggiano scored all the way from second base to give the Raptors a one-run lead.

Paxson allowed an opening single in the bottom of the ninth. He was bunted to second and a wild pitch moved him to third. A double tied the game ad put the winning run at second but Rondon took care of the final two hitters as well as all three in the ninth to sew up the game on Wise's game-winnng homer.

Ogden moves to Billings for a four-game series starting tonight.
