McGee Triples and Homers in Raptor Win

Ogden moved to 8-7 on the season with a hard-fought 6-3 win over Helena. The Dominican Dodgers were stung by two unearned runs and lost a 3-2 game in the 10th inning to the Blue Jays. The Arizona Dodgers had the day off.

Ogden Drops Brewers 6-3
The Raptors won their third straight game, finally bouncing over the .500 mark at 8-7, battling to a 6-3 win over Helena, who lost their fifth in a row. Brian Cavazos-Galvez was hitless but drove in two runs. Lenell McGee tripled and homered to knock in a pair of runs.

Starter Matt Magill (5-2) earned up the win, working 5.0 innings while allowing three runs, two earned. Left-hander Jordan Roberts retired nine in row though the eighth with the help of a pair of double plays and Steve Ames struck out the side in the ninth for his seventh save.

The Raptors tied the score in the bottom half when shortstop Pedro Guerrero belted a solo home run, his Guerrero's third of the year.

Trailing 2-1 in the third, center-fielder Lenell McGee tied the game again with his first home run of the season. Ogden gained the lead later in the inning when Brian Cavazos-Galvez's ground-out scored David Iden, who had walked.

The Brewers again tied the game in the top of the fifth, but the Raptors took the lead for good in the bottom half when Brian Ruggiano tripled and scored on Cavazos-Galvez's sacrifice fly. They added insurance run in the sixth, on Brian Ruggiano's two-out RBI single, and in the eighth, on McGee's run-scoring triple.

The Raptors and Brewers will round out their series tonight as Edwin Contreras takes the ball for Ogden against Helena's Damon Krestalude.

DSL Dodgers lose 3-2 in 10
The Blue Jays scored in the bottom of the 10th inning to hand the Dominican Dodgers a tough, 3-2 loss.

Both teams scored a pair of runs in the second inning and the game remained that way until the 10th.

Gus Gomez started and worked three innings, allowing five hits, three walks and striking out six. He allowed both runs in the second but both were unearned after third baseman Bladimir Franco booted a ground ball leading off the inning.

The Dodgers has scored twice in the top of the frame, Jose Ramirez was hit by a pit and Charlie Mirabal walked before José Capellan's RBI single. Ronny Lugo added a single to load the bases but the Dodgers could only add one more run, that on a ground ball by Alexis Aguilar.

Jonady Nuñez worked four scoreless innings in relief and Carlos De Aza added two more before a walk, a sac bunt and a single to center gave the Jays their winning run.

Capellan singled three times and Ramirez added a double.
