No L.A. Rookie of the Year Votes in 2009

The Dodgers did not receive a single vote in the 2009 Rookie of the Year balloting for the second season in a row. Los Angeles, while young, did not make use of many rookies during the season.

Dodgers rookies who saw action during 2009 included catcher A.J. Ellis, outfielders Xavier Paul and Mitch Jones and pitchers Scott Elbert, James McDonald, Brent Leach, Travis Schlichting and Ron Belisario. Only McDonald and Belisario saw any extended action.

Chris Coghlan of Florida won the coveted award, out-scoring Phillie pitcher J.A. Happ who finished second with 94 votes.
