Dodgers Announced 2010 Minor League Staff

The Dodgers have announced their 2010 Minor League coaching staff with Bruce Hines joining the organization as Minor League Field Coordinator and Lorenzo Bundy rejoining the Dodger organization as manager of the Rookie-level Arizona League Dodgers.

Longtime Padre scout and executive Ken Bracey will also join the Dodgers as a Special Assistant to the General Manager after 36 years with San Diego, where he served as a Special Assistant to General Manager Kevin Towers since 1997.

Hines, 52, has 25 years of coaching and managing experience, spending the 2009 season as the Mariners' third base coach after 11 seasons (23 seasons overall) coaching in the Angels' organization.

With the Angels, he served in a variety of minor league coaching positions including Field Coordinator (2006-08), Infield Instructor (2002-05), Roving Outfield Instructor (2001), and Roving Defense Instructor (1998-2000). Hines has a 278-233 (.544) record in seven seasons as a minor league manager.

Selected by the Padres in the 18th round of the 1980 First-Year Player Draft, Hines batted .236 in three minor league seasons in the San Diego and Oakland organizations. He graduated from the University of LaVerne in 1980 and resides in Mesa, Arizona with his wife, Wendy.

Lorenzo Bundy rejoins the Dodger organization as manager of the Rookie-level Arizona League Dodgers after serving as Arizona's first base coach last season.  He previously spent two seasons in the Dodger organization from 2007-08, compiling a 141-146 record as the manager of Triple-A Las Vegas.

Bundy has accumulated a 498-543 won-loss record (.478) in eight seasons as a Minor League manager in the Montreal (1990-94), Florida (1997) and Dodger organizations.

Triple-A Pacific Coast League Manager of the Year and Baseball America's "Best Manager Prospect" Tim Wallach returns with his staff of Hitting Coach John Moses and Pitching Coach Jim Slaton that guided the Isotopes to an American Southern Division title and set an Albuquerque franchise mark with 80 victories.

Carlos Subero will lead Double-A Chattanooga after managing Single-A Inland Empire last season. John Valentin will remain with the Lookouts as the hitting coach and Danny Darwin will serve as pitching coach after two seasons in the same position with Single-A Great Lakes.

Jeff Carter will manage Inland Empire after two seasons at the helm of the Dodgers' rookie-level club. Hitting Coach Franklin Stubbs and Pitching Coach Charlie Hough will both return to the 66ers for their second and fourth seasons, respectively.

Manager Juan Bustabad returns for a third season with Great Lakes after leading the Loons to the first playoff berth in the franchise's three-year history and winning a first-round Midwest League playoff series. Michael Boughton will return for a second season as hitting coach and Chuck Crim makes the jump to Single-A after serving as pitching coach for Rookie-advanced Ogden in 2009.

Damon Berryhill returns for a second season as manager for Rookie-advanced Ogden after leading the club to a playoff berth in 2009.  After spending last season with the Dominican Summer League Dodgers, Kremlin Martinez takes over as the Raptors' pitching coach with Johnny Washington returning as hitting coach.

Lorenzo Bundy will manage the Rookie-level Arizona League Dodgers with Leo Garcia returning as hitting coach for a second season.
