Dodgers Make One Young Man's Wish Come True

The Dodgers would welcomed Christopher Ramirez to Camelback Ranch – Glendale. Ramirez, 17, had his dream come true through MAKE-A-WISH Foundation on opening day. He is putting up a valiant fight with cancer.

Ramirez had his own locker and early in the day he had a pitching lesson with bullpen coach Ken Howell and received a fielding tutorial from Mariano Duncan.

He took batting practice and shagged flies with all of the players, batting in the first group with Manny Ramirez, Casey Blake, Rafael and Andre Ethier with his family in attendance. Blake even found him a smaller bat, after he had hit the first round with Manny's club.

Many of the Dodgers talked with him and posed for photos. Manager Joe Torre arranged for him to watch the game from the Dodgers dugout.
