Elisaul Pimentel Wins Five Straight:
Pimentel propelled the Great Lakes Loons to another victory with his fifth consecutive triumph. The 22 year old right-hander has reeled off a string of impressive performances. His pitching has been so effective that he has surrendered only a single run over the past 29 innings, while striking out 31. His recent improvements have dropped his ERA down to 2.23. Overall Pimentel is 7-3 with 70 K's on the season.
Vicente Padilla Can't Handle Triple A Hitters
The Dodgers' opening day starter was bashed around over 5.2 innings in his latest start during his quest to return to the majors. Padilla gave up six runs (four earned) and eight hits.
Also making an appearance in that game was the newest Dodger, Kiko Calero. Since joining the Isotopes, Calero has yet to surrender a run in 2 innings.
John Lindsey headed to the DL
Long time Minor League veteran, Lindsey, is headed to the DL due to a calf strain he suffered on June 4th. Lindsey, who was batting .405 with 10 home runs and 44 RBIs this season was in the process of making his best case for a Major League call up.
Haeger's Knucklers Refuse to Knuckle
Charlie Haeger has looked atrocious since his debut as the Dodgers' fifth starter. That trend continued in his latest Class A rehab appearance. Haeger gave up four runs in the first inning against Rancho Cucamonga.
