Lucas May Stays Strong in June
Dodgers catcher Lucas May went 4-for-5 with two home runs and six runs batted in during the Isotopes win over Memphis.
In his tenure with the Isotopes, May is batting .321 with 10 home runs and 38 runs batted in. The young prospect has shown a penchant for clutch hitting. This season he is batting a remarkable .458 with runners in scoring position.
Dodgers Vets Hoping for a Call Up
Jamie Hoffman and Jay Gibbons have both been performing well of late. Hoffman had three hits and three runs batted in during the 14-5 win over Memphis. Gibbons has finished with a hit and two runs scored.
Monasterios Struggles During Rehab
Carlos Monasterios was hammered on Monday during his start against Memphis. He surrendered five runs in 3 2/3 innings. The Dodgers need a healthy Monasterios to return as soon as possible. The successful return of Chad Billingsley on Monday night helps ease the strain, but the frequent loss of starting pitchers has put added pressure on the bullpen.
The Return of Corey Wade
Wade is hoping to rejoin the Dodgers before the end of the season. His first two appearances have been mediocre, but it could be just a matter of shaking off the rust. Since his first appearance with Single A's Inland Empire, Wade has pitched two innings, giving up one run in each outing.
