Hensley pitches perfect game against the Kannapolis Intimidators.

The Hagerstown Suns have never thrown a perfect game, until now.

On May 3, 2003, 23-year-old right-handed pitcher, Clay Hensley threw the first perfect game in Hagerstown Suns history against the Kannapolis Intimidators. Hensley struck out 10 and induced 11 groundouts - retiring all 21 batters, in a 2-0 Suns victory.

Hensley now has an ERA of 2.81, with a record of 1-1 striking out 38 in 32 innings. Last season, Hensley had a 7-0 record, with a 2.53 ERA for the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes.

Hensley was drafted by the Giants in the eighth round of the 2002 draft.
