Brandon Crawford did not get a chance to extend his hitting streak for the Scorpions on Tuesday. He was out of the lineup.

Joe Panik saw his first action since Friday, and he may have been a little rusty. The 21-year-old infielder went 0-for-5 with two strikeouts. Panik's average plummeted back under the .300 mark, down to .286 (20-for-70).

Stephen Harrold pitched a scoreless ninth inning, preserving a Scorpions shutout and earning his first save of the AFL season. The young reliever allowed a hit, a walk and struck out a batter. Harrold has posted a solid 2.02 ERA over 10 appearances. Huntzinger, Scorpions silence Rafters

Brandon Belt continues to keep his head just above water for the Leones del Escogido, going 1-for-3 with a run scored, a walk and two strikeouts on Tuesday. Brandon has kept his production very steady, but rarely fantastic, hitting .303 (20-for-66) on the season.

Tyler Graham went 1-for-3 with a run scored and a strikeout for the Tomateros de Culiacan Tuesday. The 27-year-old, who swiped 60 bags for Fresno in 2011, also stole his fifth base of the winter season. Graham is hitting .277 as the everyday leadoff hitter and center fielder for the Tomato Growers.

Justin Christian saw his average fall to .226 (7-for-31) after going 1-for-5 with a run Tuesday. It was the 31-year-old outfielder's seventh appearance as the center fielder and leadoff hitter for the Caneros de los Mochis.

Hector Sanchez continues to absolutely dismantle VWL pitching, collecting three more hits, including a double, in four trips to the plate for the Tiburones de La Guaira. Hector also knocked in his sixth run in his 14 appearances before being lifted for a pinch runner. The red-hot backstop raised his average back over the .400 mark to .426 (20-for-47).

Ehire Adrianza got the start at short on Tuesday for the Tiburones de La Guaira, his ninth appearance this winter. Adrianza went 0-for-3 before being lifted for a pinch hitter. The 22-year-old is still hitting at a very nice .379 (11-for-29) clip.

Max Ramirez went 1-for-4 with two strikeouts while DHing for the Bravos de Margarita on Tuesday, dropping his average to .260 (19-for-73).

No games in the ABL on Tuesday, nothing to report.

It's all or nothing so far for Johnny Monell in Puerto Rico. After going 3-for-3 in his first game with the Criollos de Caguas, the 25-year-old from the Bronx went 0-for-3 on Tuesday, making him 3-for-6 after just the two games.
