SF Giants Minor League Madness!

We're going to have some fun this week in honor of the March Madness brackets being announced

March Madness is one of the most fun events in college sports until your bracket gets busted. What we have done is brought that same bracket excitement and combined it with the SF Giants minor leaguers to form the inaugural Giants Minor League Madness.

What we're aiming to do is have a little fun, but also connect the fans with some of the top-ranked players in the system, as well as some under-the-radar farmhands. The only stipulation in the selection process was that the player had to have a Twitter account. Each of the Giants top 30 (per Baseball America and MLB Pipeline) that has a Twitter account is on the bracket and is a higher-ranked player. Those that are outside of the top 30 make up the lower seeds.

The idea is that a few of the guys will have some fun with this and we'll all have a grand time cheering on some of our favorites. So who's included in this year's March Madness bracket? Here they are:

(1) Tyler Beede Christian Arroyo (1)
(16) Shawon Dunston  Johneshwy Fargas (16)
(8) Chase Johnson Jalen Miller (8)
(9) Garrett Williams Dylan Davis (9)
(5) Matt Krook C.J. Hinojosa (5)
(12) Jacob Heyward Malique Ziegler (12)
(4) Ty Blach Steven Okert (4)
(13) Luis Pino Jeff Burke (13)
(6) Dan Slania Cory Taylor (6)
(11) Wynton Bernard Matt Pare (11)
(3) Heath Quinn Chris Shaw (3)
(14) Hengerber Medina Ryan Howard (14)
(7) Chris Stratton Ray Black (7)
(10) Ryder Jones  Ricky Oropesa (10)
(2) Bryan Reynolds Steven Duggar (2)
(15) Tyler Rogers Jeffry Parra (15)

These are the round one match-ups, but how does this all work? It's easy! Starting on Monday at noon we'll be tweeting out each of these first round match-ups in a Twitter poll. All you have to do to participate is follow us @SFGiantsonScout and pick your favorite Giants minor leaguer. It's as easy as that!
