Diamondbacks outhit Giants, 9-2

The Giants came into today's game with a 16-game losing streak in Spring Training games against the Diamondbacks. They hoped to end it today, unfortunately the Diamondbacks kept their winning streak against the Giants going with a 9-6 win today.

Dustin Hermanson, who is hoping to become one of the Giants starters, started today's game against the Arizona Diamondbacks. He hasn't given up a run in his last four appearances in Spring Training. Yet this outing was different as he only lasted three innings, giving up nine hits and five runs.

Outfielder, Marquis Grissom led off the game with a two-run home run, giving the Giants an early lead. It was a lead that wouldn't last long at all.

In the bottom of the inning, the Dbacks drove in five runs and were able to keep that lead throughout the game. Luis Gonzalez, Danny Bautista, and Brandon Webb each had RBI singles, while Shea Hillenbrand went 3-for3 with an RBI double.

After giving up the home run in the first inning, Webb was able to settle down. He left the game after cutting his right thumb.
