Bonds hits 5th homer in 3-3 tie

Jerome Williams gave up 1 run on 3 hits in 4 2/3 innings, and got 5 strikeouts. Trey Lunsford doubled to tie the game.

The Giants jumped ahead in the first when Ray Durham led off with a walk. J.T. Snow singled, and Michel Tucker stroked an RBI base hit. Colorado tied the game with a run in the fourth when Mark Sweeney doubled, and later scored on Matt Holliday's single.

Kit Pellow singled and scored on Holliday's hit to put the Rockies on top, 2-1, in the sixth inning. Bonds tied the game with his fifth homer of spring training.

Andy Tracy hit a solo blast in the eighth to put Colorado on top again with a 3-2 lead. Cody Ransom singled to lead off the Giants ninth, went to second on a wild pitch, and to third on Francisco Santos' fly to right. Trey Lunsford doubled to drive Ransom in and the game was tied.

Game Notes:
Barry Bonds has 5 home runs in spring and is batting .348 Rockies LF Matt Holliday went 2-4 with 2 RBI "In Arizona, I tried to do too much and was over-aggressive," explained Hermanson, "so against the Padres I did a lot of shagging to get the energy out of me. Then I went in the bullpen and threw a simulated inning so I could relax." – Dustin Hermanson is confident despite poor stats. It's still up in the air as to when Jason Schmidt will be ready.
