Giants Trump Rockies

With a combination of explosive offense and great pitching, the Giants were able to drive past the Rockies without a problem.

After a few tough outings, Dustin Hermanson demonstrated once again why he's the leading candidate for a rotation spot as he outpitched the Colorado Rockies' Joe Kennedy.

The Rockies' lone run came on a Preston Wilson jack off Hermanson in the fourth inning.

The Giants' started their damage in the fifth against Kennedy as Cody Ransom, who had four doubles in today's game, led off the inning with a double. Neifi Perez tripled, bringing Ransom in, and Tony Torcato hit an RBI single. Pedro Feliz smacked a run-scoring double, and Yorvit Torrealba collected two RBIs with another double.

In the sixth inning, Torcato hit an RBI single, then proceeded to hit a two-run triple in the eighth. Brian Dallimore added to the Giants' lead with a double that pinned two more runs for the Giants in the ninth.

Notes: The Giants had seventeen hits, including nine doubles and three triples.
