Giants Get By Royals

The Giants' fifth inning rally was just enough for them to comeback and beat the Royals, giving Ryan Jensen his last win for the Spring

After pitching a solid game, Ryan Jensen was sent back to the minors. The Royals' Brian Anderson didn't have much luck in his final tune-up before pitching Opening Day for Kansas City.

The Royals jumped ahead in the third as Aaron Guiel and Desi Relaford had back-to-back triples, giving the Royals a 2-run advantage.

The Giants broke out in the fifth as A.J. Pierzynski and Cody Ransom singled. With two men on base, Tony Torcato belted a three-run jack to right field, putting the Giants ahead for good. Neifi Perez and Todd Linden got on board with singles and scored on Michael Tucker's two-run double. In the sixth inning, Yorvit Torrealba jacked a solo roundtripper to boost the Giants to six runs, which was enough for them to hold onto the lead for the win.

Notes: The Giants claimed lefty, Kevin Walker, off waivers... Jesse Foppert was placed on the 60-day disabled list... Jason Schmidt pitched three innings in a minor league game and said he felt good.
