Portland 10, Fresno 4 (16 innings)
GAME NOTES: The last game in the series of Portland against Fresno was a long one, lasting 16 innings. With a 4-4 tie, the game went into extra innings, finally ending in the 16th with a six run inning by the Portland Beavers. Jake Taschner was given the loss after giving up six runs on seven hits in the 16th inning. Portland Beaver, Xavier Nady hit a three-run shot off of Taschner to help bring Portland the win. Michael Cervenak had an impressive game by hitting a two-run homer in the sixth inning, then later homered once again in the 8th to tie the game up. He accounted for the majority of the runs for Fresno in the game, raising his average up to .296.
New Hampshire 2, Norwich 1
GAME NOTES: It was a close game with Norwich against New Hampshire. New Hampshire pitcher Francisco Rosario pitched for seven innings, striking out eight and allowing one run. Angel Chavez collected the only RBI in the game. Francisco Santos led the top of the second with a double and advanced to third on an error. Unfortunately, he was out at home when trying to score on Brad Vericker's hit. With Vericker on second, Chavez singled up the middle to drive home Vericker.
TEAM NOTES: Josh Habel was involved in a trade with the Milwaukee Brewers, as the San Francisco Giants traded Habel to acquire right-handed reliever, David Burba. Angel Chavez had a 2-4 game, bring his batting average up over the .200 mark with a .201 average.
San Jose 6, Lake Elsinore 3
GAME NOTES: The San Jose Giants got an early lead by scoring three at the start of the game. After two walks given to the Giants, Nate Schierholtz doubled to left field to drive in Adam LaBarbera and Clay Timpner. Eddy Martinez-Esteve followed with a double to right to drive in Schierholtz. Lake Elsinore tried to rally in the top of the ninth, but the Giants already had a three run lead over them. Brooks McNiven got his sixth win of the season after pitching 5.1 innings, giving up one run on eight hits, striking out three.
Lake County 6, Hagerstown 1
GAME NOTES: Hagerstown collected nine hits in the game, but still loss the game as they could only manage to score one run. The Suns now have a eight game losing streak, despite averaging ten hits a game. Aaron Hornostaj, Tim Hutting and Jason Columbus each had a multi-hit game for Hagerstown. The only RBI of the game came from Brent Swanson with a sing in the third.
S-K 10, Everett 2
GAME NOTES: Craig Whitaker added his fourth win of the season as the Volcanoes defeated the Everett Aquasox, 10-2. Whitaker gave up only one run on five hits while striking out four. Simon Klink hit his tenth homer of the season, a two-run jack in the top of the fifth.
