Mike Cervenak - Has not been able to get into a groove, hitting .182/.250/.182/.432 for the week with 1 runs, 1 RBI, and 1 SB in 11 AB.
Fred Lewis - Has not hit well either and has been striking out a lot to boot, hitting .143/.143/.286/.429 with a triple and 5 SO in 14 AB but was productive when he did connect with the ball, driving in 6 runs, which led the team for the week. He has mainly been used by the Giants as a lead-off type hitter, getting on base and stealing bases, but some reports I've read say that he has the potential to be a middle of the lineup type of hitter.
Lance Niekro - Did the best of the Giants prospects, hitting .333/.333/.778/1.111, with 1 double and 1 homer in 9 AB with 4 RBI.
David Aardsma - Did up and down, relieving in 2 games, 2 IP, 2 hits, 2 BB, 5 SO, 1 run, 1 ER.
Chris Begg - Has been unable to show the stuff he had in Norwich. Just as he was battered when he pitched in AAA, he has thus far been very hittable in the AFL. He started 1 game this week, went only 3 innings, gave up 7 hits and 2 walks with 2 strikeouts, and 3 runs, 3 earned.
Scott Munter - Got his first win of the season. Relieved 1 game, 2 IP, 2 hits, 1 BB, 2 strikeouts, 0 runs.

He wants to teach and share his love of baseball and, in particular, his love for theSan Francisco Giants. He will believe to his dying days that Bobby Bonds was robbed of being the first 40-40 player and should be in Cooperstown.
