Roger Whitaker only got into the 4th inning, giving up 6 runs, 4 earned, on 4 hits and 4 walks. He did strike out 6. Brian Stirm was able to contain the bleeding, giving up only 1 run in 3 innings of relief, but the next two relievers gave up 4 runs in 2 innings to take the game way out of hand. In the bottom of the 9th, Brian Horwitz managed to double in Jake Wald, who walked, to get the Jackets on the board, but that would be it.
