David Aardsma took his first loss of the season, giving up 3 runs on 7 hits while striking out 1. Meanwhile, the offense only managed 2 hits off of Trenton starter Sean Henn. Norwich also got two more innings of relief from Erick Threets, who allowed no runs on a hit and 2 walks.

The Giants got a solid start from Ryan Sadowski, throwing 5.2 innings and giving up only 1 run to power the Giants victory. Patrick Dobson picked up the biggest hit for the offense, hitting a solo home run in the 8th. Angel Chavez went 1 for 3 with a triple as well, picking up an RBI and scoring a run.

Augusta got off to a hot start, scoring 5 runs in the first two innings, and getting posting an 8-1 lead through 5. Darren Sack got into the 6th inning, but let three runners get on base without getting an out. The relief corps didn’t help, letting those runners score and then some, allowing the RiverDogs to score 10 runs in 3 innings. Brian Horwitz led the offense, going 2 for 4 with a triple, collecting 3 RBI and scoring 2 more.
