Doug Clark not only bookended the game with singles, but also effectively wrote the book with a home run in the middle of the game to highlight an extra innings Grizzlies win. Clarks RBI single in the 11th to score Donaldo Mendez won the game, and Clark also got a single in the first at bat of the game for the Grizzlies. But his big hit was a 3rd inning solo home run to tie the game at 2. Jeremy Fikac put up a solid start, going 6 innings and giving up 2 runs on 4 hits and 3 walks. Jack Taschner got the win in relief, Tony Torcato also made his return to the Grizzlies after clearing waivers from his send-down by the Giants.

A second inning outburst for 4 runs got Augusta started, and put them up for good. After a one out Jonathan Armitage walk, Jake Wald and Simon Klink hit back to back doubles to score 2 runs, and Stephen Holm homered to add two more runs. That gave the offense more than enough to start the game with, but Simon Klink added a 3 run homer in the 3rd to make sure the game was out of reach. Starter Roger Whitaker didnt last long enough to get the win, giving up 3 runs on 7 hits in 3.1 innings, but Sean Martin got it in relief, giving up 1 run in 3.2 innings. Marcus Sanders had 3 stolen bases to give him 15 on the year, taking the team lead away from Alex Requena, who stole a base to get to 14.
