Another hot, hot prospect threw in a Fresno Grizzlies game on Wednesday...unfortunately, it wasn't a guy wearing the Grizzly colors. Just another day in the minors.

Game Recap:
The Grizzlies fell victim to a hot prospect making his first start in AAA. Donnie Bridges went 8 innings, giving up only 2 hits and 1 walk while striking out 8 for an impressive debut. Meanwhile, Brad Hennessey was skipped from his scheduled start, with Brian Cooper making the spot start for Fresno. Hennessey may be the as-yet unnamed starter for San Francisco on Thursday. The only big offensive hit came off of the bat of Todd Linden, who hit a double. Meanwhile, Jack Taschner kept up his scoreless streak, now having gone 12 games without allowing a run this season.

Game Recap:
Merkin Valdez had a rough start for the Navigators, giving up 4 runs in 5 innings, allowing 5 hits and a walk and wild pitch while striking out 4. The only offense came off the bat of Julio Cordido, whose 2 run homer in the 5th inning were the only runs scored by the Norwich offense.

Game Recap:
The Giants jumped ahead early on Wednesday, with a solo home run by Todd Jennings in the 1st inning, but the rest of the Giants offense wasn’t able to follow through as the Giants fell. Jesse Floyd was knocked around early, giving up 10 hits and 4 runs in 3.2 innings, and only getting 3 strikeouts. Kevin Frandsen had a big day, though, going 3 for 4 with a double.

Game Recap:
Starter Ben Thurmond wasn’t able to get through 5 innings, giving up 5 runs on 9 hits and 2 walks in 4.2 innings, but Caleb Salankey gave up the losing run in the 6th to take the loss. Augusta tried to come back with a 4 run inning in the 4th highlighted by an RBI double by Brian Horwitz and an RBI triple Michael Wagner. Marcus Sanders also stole his 20th base, becoming the first player in the South Atlantic League to steal that many.
