The Grizzlies turned a short start by Matt Kinney into a pitcher’s duel. Kinney gave up 2 runs on 3 hits and 5 walks in 3.2 innings, but Brian Cooper and Jeremy Accardo combined for 5.1 innings of no hit ball, with Cooper giving up the only baserunners on 2 walks. Yamid Haad tied the game with a 2 run homer. But Brandon Villafuerte gave up a 2 run homer in the 10th to drop the game.

The Navigators teed off early and often on Harrisburg, hitting 4 home runs, including 2 by Tyler Von Schell, to blow the game open early. Brian Burres went 6 shut out innings, giving up only 4 hits, 2 walks and 4 strikeouts. Von Schell had 4 RBI, while Carlos Valderrama added a 2 run home run in the 1st inning as part of a 3 for 4 day. Julio Cordido had a 2 run homer in the 3rd while going 3 for 5.

Late inning fireworks were the name of the game in San Jose. Tied 6-6 going into the 9th, Lancaster nabbed a couple of runs off of Eugene Espineli to take the late lead. But Travis Ishikawa hit a 2 run homer in the bottom half following a Kevin Frandsen walk to tie the game back up. The Giants then loaded the bases in the 10th and Kevin Frandsen singled to score Pat Dobson to win the game.

The GreenJackets had an easy day of it, collecting 12 hits off of the Braves to blow them out. Steve Holm went 3 for 4 with a double and 2 runs scored and Julian Benavidez went 2 for 4 with a 3 run homer in the 1st. Osiris Matos went 5 innings, giving up just 1 run on 3 hits and 2 walks.
