Matt Kinney had one of his strongest outings since joining the Grizzlies, allowing only 1 run over 7 innings and getting 9 strikeouts. Todd Linden and Angel Chavez made sure that it would stand. Linden hit his 27th home run, a solo shot in the 4th, and Angel Chavez had 4 RBI and got 3 of them on a home run in the 4th inning as well.

Merkin Valdez had another tough start, giving up 5 runs on 10 hits in 4.2 innings. The Navigators only got 1 run on 7 hits against the Rock Cats, with Tyler Von Schell collecting 3 of the hits in 4 at bats and the only RBI, knocking in Kevin Frandsen.

Travis Ishikawa and Nate Schierholtz slugged the Giants to a comeback victory. Down 4-2, Ishikawa hit a solo home run in the 6th inning to bring San Jose to within a run, and in the bottom of the 8th, Nate Schierholz hit a 2 run homer to take the lead. Joe Bateman pitched the 9th for the save.

A 4 run 8th inning busted this game wide open for the GreenJackets. Already up 4-3, Alex Requena and Aaron Hornostaj had RBI hits, and Brian Horwitz followed that with a 2 RBI double to ice the game. Starter Anthony Pannone allowed just 2 runs through 5 innings.
