Noah Lowry made his second rehabilitation start, and while it didn't go as smoothly as his San Jose start, he only gave up 3 runs in the first and cruised the rest of the way. He gave up a one out triple, a 2 out homer, followed by a walk and double before getting the third out. He allowed only 2 more hits after that. C Yamid Haad closed off the scoring with an 8th inning home run, his first of the year.
Notes: Fresno is 11-15, and in 4th and last place in the Pacific South division.
Connecticut Defenders (AA) - Postponed due to rain
It's wet in Connecticut, where the 2nd game in a row has been postponed due to wetness. Wednesday's game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Thursday, May 4. Tuesday's game still has yet to be rescheduled.
Notes: Connecticut is tied for first in the Northern League with a 13-9 record, percentage points ahead of Portland at 14-10.

San Jose squeaked by the Oaks, on the shoulders of a 6th inning Grand Slam by Mike Wagner, and a splended bullpen outing overall. The only run given up by the 'pen was unearned, thaks to an error by Marcus Sanders. Cox had loaded the bases without any outs and given up 1 run already when Hedrick came in. Hedrick got two groundouts, one to himself and one to 3B Simon Klink, and both got outs at the plate, before getting a flyout to get out of the inning without allowing any of the inherited runners to score.
Notes: San Jose is 16-8, sitting in first place in the North division and with the top record in the California league. The 2nd place team in the North, Modesto, is 4 games out.
Augusta GreenJackets (Low-A) - Columbus 5, Augusta 1

Augusta outhit the Catfish 7-6, but only got a run in the 9th to show for it. Ray's start raised his ERA from 1.89 to 2.62. Matt Minor gave up 4 walks in 0.2 IP in the 8th inning, allowing an unearned run.
Notes: Augusta is 12-12, and is in 5th Place in the Southern Division of the South Atlantic League...Sandoval's start at first was his second in a row after spending the entire season at third. Sandoval had 10 errors at third, and committed an error today at first, missing a catch in the 2nd inning. Sandoval recovered and helped make a put out at second base on the same play at of the runner who reached first on the error. Regular 2nd baseman Anthony Contreras played 3rd for the second straight day, while reguler 1st baseman Jose Yens was the DH. SS David Maroul made his first appearance in a game at any level all season.
