LISTEN TO THIS WEEK'S BEAR REPUBLIC PODCAST
Find out where Cal coaches are this weekend
SAN FRANCISCO -- Ken Clampett and I break down last week's loss to Ohio State, as wellas where the California football team stands over the first three games, before the Golden Bears head into conference play, next week, against Oregon.
Cal baseball alums Marcus Semien, Josh Satin and Erik Johnson had big weeks in the bigs, but the talk of the day is undoubtedly the prolific offense of the Bears footballers.
With Jared Goff as the nation's leading passer, what have we seen out of the offense, and what do we want to see out of the Bear Raid over the next nine weeks. How about this week of practice? What did Goff and the offense look like during the bye week?
We also get into the defense, and debate whether the Bears' failure over the past three weeks – ranking 120th out of 123 Football Bowl Subdivision teams in total defense – is due to personnel issues, or defensive coordinator Andy Buh's schemes. What can we expect out of the Cal D coming next week and for the rest of the Pac-12 schedule? What should we expect?
We talk about all of that, and more, in this bye week edition of the Bear Republic Podcast!
