Around The Farm: December 30, 2016 - Joseph Colon debuts on final day of regular season.

The Puerto Rican and Mexican Pacific Leagues saw their regular seasons come to an end on Friday night while the Australian regular season and Dominican Round Robin rolled on. Read about yesterday's performances by Tribe farmhands both current and former as the IBI's Arthur Kinney takes you Around The Farm...

Around the Farm (ATF) takes a quick look at some of yesterday’s performances by Indians players throughout the system. This is a special fall and winter ball version of ATF that recaps all the offseason action by Indians players in the Caribbean Leagues and Arizona Fall League. The positions listed below are where the player was playing in yesterday’s game.

Joseph Colon (Cangrejeros de Santurce, RP) - 1 IP, perfect, 1 K - Colon made his season debut on the final day of the regular season.  It appears that this may be a warm-up appearance and that he was signed by the regular season champions specifically to pitch in the postseason.

J.C. Romero (Cangrejeros de Santurce, RP) - 1 IP, perfect, 1 K - Romero ends his regular season unscored upon in 22.1 IP in 25 appearances.

Fernando Cabrera (Tiburones de Aguadilla, RP) - 1 IP, 2 H, 1 R (earned) - Cabrera ends an uneven season for the expansion Tiburones (the lone team to miss the postseason) with a subpar effort.

Ronny Rodriguez (Aguilas Cibaenas, 1B) - 3-5, 1 R, 2 RBI - Ronny-Rod continues to rake in the postseason, as he is now 8-for-18 (.444) in four games. Even better, he had a flawless game in the field.

Erik Gonzalez (Leones del Escogido, SS) - 2-5, 2 R, 1 RBI, 2 K, 1 SB - The third time proved to be the charm as Gonzalez finally had a good night at the plate and stole his first base of the postseason.

Hector Luna (Aguilas Cibaenas, DH) - 2-5, 1 2B, 1 RBI, 1 K - As impressive as this performance was, it only got Luna's postseason batting average up to .250.

Charlie Valerio (Leones del Escogido, backup C) - 0-1 - The ex-Tribe organization backstop made a cameo appearance in Friday's ballgame.

Edward Paredes (Leones del Escogido, RP) - 0.1 IP, 2 H,1 R (earned) - A brief, albeit eventful (for all the wrong reasons) playoff outing for Paredes.

Loek van Mil (Adelaide Bite, RP) - 0.2 IP, 1H,1 K - van Mil continues an incredible season Down Under as he has allowed only 1 ER in 13.2 IP (0.66 ERA).

Mitch Nilsson (Brisbane Bandits, 2B) - 2-4, 1 R, 2 2B, 3 RBI, 1 BB, 1 HBP - Another game, another huge offensive night for Nilsson, who is batting .370/.460/.521 with 15 RBI in 21 games.

Ryan Battaglia (Brisbane Bandits, C) - 1-4, 2 R,1 HR, 3 RBI, 1 BB, 2 K - A three-run homer with two outs in the fourth inning was the highlight of this outing.

Quincy Latimore (Mayos de Navojoa, DH) - 0-2, 5 BB (2 intentional) - Latimore equaled his walk total from his nine most recent games in the Mayos' regular season finale.
