Around the Farm - January 24, 2017: Quiet Bats in the Dominican

Only Ronny Rodriguez was in action on Tuesday night as far as current Indians go. He was also joined by former Indian Anderson Hernandez to round out the brief slate of highlights as the IBI's Jake Dungan recaps.

Around the Farm (ATF) takes a quick look at some of yesterday’s performances by Indians players throughout the system. This is a special fall and winter ball version of ATF that recaps all the offseason action by Indians players in the Caribbean Leagues and Arizona Fall League. The positions listed below are where the player was playing in yesterday’s game.

Dominican Winter League

Ronny Rodriguez (1B, Aguilas Cibaenas): 0-4, 2 K. Ronny Rodriguez was the lone current Indians player in action on Tuesday, but was unable to get anything going at the plate going 0-for-4 with two strikeouts. He wasn't the only one, though, as Aguilas could only muster three hits in a 7-0 shutout at the hands of Tigres del Licey.

Anderson Hernandez (2B, Tigres del Licey): 0-4. Licey plated seven runs on 16 hits, but unfortunately, former Indian Anderson Hernandez did not join in on the hit parade going 0-for-4 as he was one of only two hitters in the lineup to not record a hit, the other being Rossmel Perez, who came in for starting catcher Austin Wynns and only logged one at-bat on Tuesday.
