The Cleveland Indians (3-3) and Chicago White Sox (2-3) open a three-game set as part of the 24th home opener in the history of Progressive Field. In the 117 home openers they have played, the Tribe has gone 59-57 (.509) with 22 previous meetings against the White Sox. Manager Terry Francona and company took the 2016 season series by winning seven of the 10 battles between the two clubs. Chicago manager Rick Renteria is in his first season at the helm.
