2017 Indians 34th Rd Pick: Cole Turney, RF from Travis High School

In the 34th round of the 2017 MLB Draft, the Cleveland Indians have selected right fielder Cole Turney with the 1032nd overall pick.

At pick 1032 in the 34th round, the Cleveland Indians have selected right fielder Cole Turney out of Travis High School.

Born: 1/16/99 — Height: 6'0" — Weight: 200 — Bats: Left — Throws: Left

Jeff Ellis: Cole Turney was another player that I thought could fit the Indians profile. His strengths and weakness are very similar to Will Benson from a year ago. He has some of the best power potential in spite of barely standing over six feet tall. His bat speed is some of the best in the class, but will he hit enough to access his power is the question. He will head to Arkansas this fall with a chance to prove his doubters wrong. His athletic ability gives him a legitimate chance to be a top ten pick in three years.
