Nine Missions earn spots in Double-A All Star Game

Five position players and four pitchers will represent San Antonio as All Stars.

Not to be outdone by the eight spots that the Seattle Mariners' High-A affiliate, Wisconsin, sent to the Midwest League All Star game, the San Antonio Missions will send nine to the Texas League All Star game.

It will be held on June 18th in Wichita, Kansas.

Representing the Missions will be four pitchers, five position players and the San Antonio coaching staff.

Three right-handers - Rett Johnson, Josue Matos, and Clint Nageotte - will join lefty Travis Blackley on the squad.

Infielders A.J. Zapp (1B), Jose Lopez (SS/2B), Justin Leone (3B) and Jim Horner (C) will play in Wichita, as will outfielder Mike Curry.
